Welcome to River Rats Rest! Here you will experience the wild beauty of two spring fed rivers flowing out to the Gulf of Mexico. The Upper Halls flows across five miles of wilderness and into the Homosassa. Our 4-bed-2 bath home is perfect for year-round gatherings and getaways. The gourmand will delight in the fully stocked kitchen and propane griddle on the deck. You’ll catch glimpses of wildlife as you muse over morning coffee or an evening glass of spirits.

We are just ten minutes away from excellent restaurants, grocery, bait & tackle stores, as well as several marina’s with boats for rent.

For those who need to work remotely, the desk in the Fish Room and high speed internet will help you wrap it up quickly.

We welcome large groups and families with young children! We have a pack n’ play and high chair for your convenience. Furry friends are also welcome, although we do limit it to two dogs, each under 30 pounds for a fee of $150. Please be aware that there are two big flights of stairs (one leading to the house, the other to the loft). For safety, please do not leave any children or pets unattended, and please keep your dog on a leash.
For guests added peace of mind and security, we have cameras in the carport area and on the outside of the front door. There are no cameras within the interior of the home.

Boat access to our dock is limited to small, flat bottom boats due to the shallow nature of portions of the Halls River. Boat and boat trailer parking is provided on site for boats up to 30ft, inquire for fees for anything larger.*

Please note that booking a stay at our home implies your consent to abide by our rental agreement. It is your responsibility to read this rental agreement in full and give a copy to any guests or other persons who may enter our property at your request.**

• Booking this home indicates your consent to be bound by our Rental Agreement. Please read this document in full.*

• This is a waterfront home with no fencing. Although we rarely see them, animals including alligators and snakes may be present. Please boat and swim with care.

• There will be a $250 damage deposit hold placed on your credit card at the time of booking. After checkout, this money will be promptly returned.
